Sue Hadiaris Elected to Board of Saco & Biddeford Savings Institute

Saco, MAINE (July 16, 2012) – Sue Hadiaris of Saco was recently elected as board member of Saco & Biddeford Savings Institution (SBSI) at its June 20th meeting.

David Howe, chairman of the board, noted that “Hadiaris was recruited to SBSI’s board because of her strong record of community volunteerism and her extensive professional acumen. She is a fabulous addition.”

Hadiaris and her husband, Leon, have owned and operated the Saco Dairy Queen for over 25 years. Additionally, Hadiaris serves as Vice President of Planning & Development and Chief Planning Officer at Southern Maine Medical Center. At the hospital, her responsibilities range from business planning and internal communications to advertising and legislative relations.

Hadiaris is an active member of the Coastal Healthy Communities Coalition Advisory Council, a cooperator at both Hospice of Southern Maine and Sweetser Services, and current board chair of the United Way of York County.

“Sue brings to the table a vast amount of business experience, and has a strong connection with our community,” noted Kevin Savage, SBSI’s president and CEO. “She will be a fabulous asset to SBSI.”

Ms. Hadiaris received her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Maine in Orono. She currently resides in Saco with her husband Leon, and they have two grown children.
